Thrilling collision of characters Michael Hurst’s first solo show is terrific. The few remaining seats for the Hamilton shows should be snapped up. When it comes around, just go see it. It is the most entertaining and refreshing solo piece since the very first run of Jacob Rajan’s Krishnan’s Dairy in the 1990s. [more] |

Not only fresh, but a cut above From clever and quirky to athletic to funky and back again, aided by great music choices, this programme curated by Mary-Jane O-Reilly is certainly a delightful night out to remember. I had been anticipating a breath of fresh air, and I wasn’t disappointed. [more] |

A lack of atmosphere and punctuation First show of the Fringe is always exciting and this is the first of a number of shows produced by AntiSocial Tap who have been providing comedy to Dunedin for over two years now. Casual weird ramblings and experimental oddities and stuff It’s your classic (i.e. the basement thereof) grungy laid back late nite edgy and experimental alternative stand-up comedy vehicle. Standup comics of all ages try out their latest ideas on a modest crowd of punters, and each other, to typically mixed effects. [more] |
