Brave, stylish and historic Heroes don’t come much kookier than Xerxes. He may be the King of Persia but he opens Handel’s opera by extolling the beauties of a plane tree; a man who, as one character comments, “is aroused by a rough trunk.” [more] |

WHO ARE YOU at Musgrove Studio, Maidment Theatre reviewed by Roxanne de Bruyn 3 Mar 2011 |
|
Dynamic, fast paced performance A dynamic, fast paced performance from the Black Grace UrbanYOUTHMovement, Who Are You? combines high energy dancing with social commentary to produce an enthralling work. Group work is a constant theme, with dancers pulling away from the large groups into smaller groups, but not managing to escape altogether. The dancers move with abandon, but any freedom seems fleeting as they are pulled back into the crowd. [more] |

A magical and menacing must-see! Tea for Toot is the story of Emily and Georgia Waters, daughters of children’s author Mary Waters, and inspired by the daughters of Enid Blyton.
