New Dance Editor for Theatreview – and how you can help
The Theatreview Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of a wonderful new Dance Editor to temporarily fill the critical role of Dance Editor, Nationwide, since Lyne Pringle stepped down in May.
Lyne will continue to be a vital member of our team, as a reviewer of Dance performance, and we hugely appreciate all the work she has done on the Board and as National Dance Editor for the past 4 years.

The Board extends enormous thanks to Lyne for her dedication and passion for Theatreview’s work.
Our new Dance Editor is Claire O’Neil in Tamaki Makaurau Auckland.

We are thrilled to welcome someone of Claire’s calibre, with such strong connections to dance across Aotearoa.
For over 30 years, Claire has been an international performer, choreographer, dance educator, and scholar.
She is the artistic director of Fidget Collective and has presented over 35 works locally and internationally. Claire lived in Belgium for a decade and worked with some of Europe’s most prestigious contemporary dance companies. In 2016 she achieved a Masters in Dance with first-class honours from the University of Auckland.
Claire is currently researching the sustainability in dancing ecologies for her practice-led PhD study whilst teaching Somatic Movement Education in the tradition of Thomas Hanna.
We need to ask for your help please
Our current funding for the Dance Editor position runs out a month before the next possible source of funding may possibly become available. We fully appreciate that current circumstances make it tough, but collectively every little bit helps.
If you are able to please make a small donation, here is the link.

We hope that this limited call out to our friends, whanau and supporters will provide continuation of our national dance review services, while the Board works hard to secure a new source of remuneration funding for Claire’s professional services.
