Shalom Del’Monte-Aberhart is an English and Drama teacher at Marlborough Girls’ College. She has a long standing interest in Theatre starting when she was 11 years old and her father and mother, who was born with cerebral palsy, started a Theatre company called Theatre Unlimited. The company’s aim was to ensure that people with disabilities had an opportunity to express themselves through theatre.

In recent years Shalom has been acting, stage managing, prop making and directing for three of Blenheim’s theatre – Havelock Theatre Company, The Boathouse and Picton Little Theatre. She has also assisted and directed some of MGC’s productions and organised the Marlborough SGCNZUOSW Shakespeare Festival. Recently she has started working with the Top of the South Film Society and is learning production management for film.
