This movement piece is a continuation of my exploration and research of my papas “Te pito o Tumutevarovaro,” through my first performative research of this, I’ve learnt that papa was talking about a womans’ kopapa (body).

ATA Laughter & Discomfort – Choreographer – Desiree Soo-Choon

‘He who belittes the struggle of another will one day be laughed upon’, Do people laugh at your dreams? Is it those around you and those that you look to for support that make you feel this way? Touches on Tall Poppy Syndrome and the significance of a solid village around you.

Tinā – Choreographer- Litara Ieremia-Allan

An ode to mothers. To my mother.

(re)claim – Choreographer: Chas Samoa

Through the processes, we explore an alternate reality where representation of power, colonial knowledge and an accessing of spirituality thrives. The aesthetic of this piece was inspired by Pati Tyrell’s “God-head” work.
