From theatre shows to festivals, Nitika has travelled around Aotearoa and internationally to see her favourite artists and theatre shows. She discovered her love for live theatre while working at Te Kura o Toi Whakaari as a student recruiter and marketing specialist under the great leadership of Tanea Heke. There she had the opportunity to assist in producing their productions, sitting in on class tutorials and observing the students’ performance training. Through the kura, Nitika has had the opportunity to audition for film and television roles, she guest modelled in the Costume Showcase of 2021 and she also had the opportunity to feature in the amazing film ‘Red White and Brass’.

Nowadays, Nitika sits as a Pou Tohu Matua, Senior Adviser for Manatū Taonga the Ministry for Culture and Heritage in the investments and Māori engagement space working closely with our arts agencies to ensure our industry continues to thrive.
