(Ngā Rere Wai O Ngāpuhi/Ngāti Pākehā)
Finn first set foot on stage when he was two years old playing the changeling boy in a University of Auckland production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. He went from Shakespeare at age two to playing the Magic Carpet to ‘universal acclaim’ in the annual King’s School production of ‘Aladdin’ when he was in Year 8, and the boy with the broken arm in Colin McColl’s production of ‘Lord of the Flies’ for Auckland Theatre Company. Ballet trained; Finn’s subsequent performing arts experience has been confined to the world of kapa haka.
The son of theatre parents, Finn has enjoyed hundreds (possibly thousands) of live productions in Aotearoa and around the world as he furthers his career as a professional athlete and double international (archery and karate) and continues to indulge his love of the performing arts.
Finn is enjoying the challenges of reviewing and feels honoured to be able to write for Theatreview.
