Dr Jaqs Clarke has contributed reviews in film, dance, art, theatre, landscape architecture and architecture across many media including the Listener, Radio New Zealand, the former Sunday Star Times, Art New Zealand, Landscape Architecture NZ, and others including international journal Performance Research: A Journal of the Performing Arts. She was the founding editor/producer of The Big Idea website until 2007, when she left to pursue a PhD in ecological urbanism. Her thesis Liquid Urbanism was nominated for the Vice Chancellor’s prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis at the University of Auckland in 2013. She currently works as a cranio-sacral therapist from her Fluid Body clinic in Titirangi. She has recently published her first children’s book The Book of Water Magic, with Circadia Press 2022.
