Kendall Jones is a postgraduate Dance Studies student at the University of Auckland. Kendall graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 2015 as a Senior Scholar of Creative Arts and Industries. She is an active member of the New Zealand dance industry, with a continued involvement in dance performance, choreography and teaching contexts.

 

Kendall’s dance performance career began with Pointy Dog Dance Company and has continued through the University of Auckland, with performance credits in Singapore (National University of Singapore, Dance Synergy; World Dance Alliance Asia-Pacific Bridge) Los Angeles (University of California, Los Angeles) and New Zealand (Action; Tempo Dance Festival).

 

Her relationship to dance has extended into teaching and research. Kendall has experience teaching in tertiary environments, such as: The University of Auckland, National University of Singapore, and Beijing Dance Academy.  Her current research focuses on dance within the multi-faceted crises of Greece.
