 Mark is a New Zealand-born, Los Angeles-based composer known for his film scores and choral/classical works. He recently scored Chris Sun’s creature feature BOAR, which released in the USA on June 6, 2019 on AMC’s Shudder streaming service.

Mark has three Hollywood Music in Media Award Nominations (2017, 2015, 2013) and twice won Best Score at the Australian Screen Industry Network Awards, for CHARLIE’S FARM (2015) and DADDY’S LITTLE GIRL (2012).


In June 2017 he studied with Conrad Pope and Angel Velez for his concert conducting debut with the Rousse Philharmonic, Bulgaria, performing Fiordland from his FLYING SOUTH score. Earlier that year, the film’s score was performed live to picture by the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, who played on the original recording. Mark made a cameo stage appearance to perform the rollicking ukulele part.


Mark taught film music for three semesters at UCLA Extension from 2017-2018, and since June 2018 has held a part-time role as COO of the Society of Composers & Lyricists.
