free! HAMLET

coming to a hamlet hall near you (in greater Wellington) from 1 to 14 December.

I’ll have these players play something like the murder of my father before mine uncle …

Simon Vincent plays the title role in a brand new Bacchanals production of Shakespeare’s HAMLET, directed by David Lawrence.

Distilled to its dynamic essence, judiciously edited, it is played in the traverse with no scenery (i.e. no time-consuming scene changes), minimal props and in ‘modern dress’ (as per Shakespeare’s company). And it’s FREE (koha optional. The Bacchanals have always believed theatre should be as accessible as watching a film or renting a DVD; but for this Hamlet the co-op agreed to go one better and not charge admission at all, although you may make a donation if you feel like it – cash or cheque; we won’t have eftpos.)
