A brazilian speaks of the Auckland Production

Yesterday, I found a video on ‘youtube.com’ with interviews and some excerpts from The Pillowman as it was presented on Broadway; they had Jeff Goldblum as detective Tupolski, which doesn’t really work for me…Another thing is, when I first saw Craig on stage as Katurian, the first thing I noticed was that he was not wearing shoes; and to me, that was one of the first indications of his vulnerability in that situation. Now, the ‘Broadway Katurian’ was wearing nice polished brown shoes, and by the scene I saw on the internet of him talking to Michal (telling the story of the Little Green Pig) he seemed a little too sure of himself for a man that was about to face execution. But that is just my humble opinion…I’ll stick with the Auckland version!!
