SUBMISSIONS FOR 2010 PROGRAMME
The Basement is pleased to invite submissions from independent companies and practitioners to be part of our programme March – July 2010.

THE VENUE
The Basement is an unorthdox entertainment venue where emerging creative practitioners have an opportunity to independently produce their own work. It is a place where emerging artists of all performance and art genres can showcase and develop their craft in the only venue of it’s nature in Auckland city.
SUBMISSION CRITERIA
– We are calling for full-length works from 50 – 120 minutes in length
– We will be programming March – July 2010
Our aims:
To provide a platform where Auckland’s less established creative talent can develop their craft and have the opportunity to produce their own work independently.
To endeavour to provide a venue that builds a new generation of performance and develops a younger audience interested in the arts.
To support New Zealand work and the discovery of exciting new ways to present work.
To present a diverse range of dynamic work that is cherry-picked for it’s suitability to our target audience.
Due date for submissions is Friday 17th July 2009.
