We are a professional theatre company looking for a company producer (or co- producer) for our upcoming year’s work. We have a 3 week season of a new New Zealand play booked at a Wellington Theatre in September and various other plays in the pipeline.
We are looking for someone with a passion for good theatre, creative and business ambition, good business sense and contacts. We want someone with the big picture in mind who would like to venture into producing national and international tours also. Your job would involve:
- sourcing funding
- sponsorship and developing sponsor relationships
- production management
- personnel and venue liaising, and
- tour management.
Producing is a tough job and we will value your input and give you as much practical support as is possible. The position would start with one job but be looking forward to a future business and creative partnership. We are working towards a fully funded show in September so part of your job will be to secure your fee!
