DOWNSTAGE FORUM – THURSDAY 19 AUGUST, 6-7 pm

Last month’s Like It or Loathe It forum kicked off the debate around measuring “quality” theatre. Is it just a question of taste? Or is there such a measure?

This time, Downstage CEO Hilary Beaton and a panel of local arts thinkers debate Michael Laws’ wonderful assertion “I don’t take anything in the arts seriously” (Dom Post 11/8/2010).

We care about theatre and the arts but why should anyone else?

Join us for an informal panel discussion this Thursday 19 August between 6-7pm in the Downstage bar.

We promise happy hour prices!

Anyone who would like to attend SEEyD’s The December Brother that evening can do so for a special price of $15. Please email Angela associate_producer@downstage.co.nz if you would like to take up this offer.
