Manager, Marketing & Communications  

Downstage is the home of contemporary performance and music in Wellington. We are entering an exciting new era, with an entirely redeveloped programme to be launched in early 2011. We seek an energetic and highly motivated marketing professional that shares our vision on what theatre can become.  

You’ll be responsible for managing all promotional campaigns for the company, including the design process (with our agency), print management, advertising placement, PR and more. You’ll also manage segmentation and communications for a valued customer database, the Downstage website and social media presence.

To be successful in this role, you will be tertiary qualified with a minimum of three years proven experience in a marketing role. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a wide range of campaign management experience across the above fields. Also essential to this role is the ability to integrate planning efforts across multiple marketing programmes, keeping them on track and on time without sacrificing quality or accuracy. Expertise in the use of social media and new technologies to tailor communications specific to customer segments will be preferred.
