The JERSEY BOYS are looking for an actor
who can join their ranks and play the role of
Frankie Valli (2 performances per week).


JERSEY BOYS – The story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons has broken box office records and won awards across the globe. Australian audiences continue a demand to see this smash hit show.

With all successful long running musicals it is essential to have actors who are alternate performers in the wings ready to go on stage under many and varied circumstances.

The Producers of JERSEY BOYS are looking for an actor to be an alternate “Frankie Valli” for two performances per week. It is important to note that Bobby Fox, who currently plays Frankie Valli, is not leaving the show and is available for interview to talk about what it is like to play and sing on stage someone who was such a legend in the music industry.

The Role of Frankie Valli

JERSEY BOYS is the story of how four boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi – The Four Seasons – wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were thirty. JERSEY BOYS features their hit songs “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Rag Doll”, “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You”, among others.

CHARACTER NOTES – Frankie Valli
Age:
20s – early 30s
Height: Must be 5’9” or shorter
Vocal requirements: Must have strong tenor with sweet and strong falsetto and be able to sing in the style of Frankie Valli. Strong tenor to high A or Bb plus strong falsetto up to treble G. Must be a very strong actor (comfortable with narrative text) and have gritty side as well a polished veneer. Must be very comfortable with traditional four-part harmonies. Good mover.
