Dear friends and colleagues,

This is an invitation to Christchurch based artists and any ex-pat Cantabrians to participate in a creative event in response and support for those affected by the recent Christchurch earthquake.

RECOVERY is a multi-disciplinary live exhibition. This is an event where artists can respond creatively to their thoughts and experiences of living in Christchurch and share an evening with an audience wanting to give back to their city.

All proceeds from RECOVERY will be donated to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal

When: Saturday 14th May (potential date, dependent on artists availability)
Where: A large marquee situated on the St Margaret’s college lawn, Merivale, Christchurch
Time: Saturday night 7pm-10pm  

What else: This will be a catered event; guests will enjoy complementary drinks and finger food. We are currently confirming a wine and food sponsor for this evening.   

The UNItY Creative presents RECOVERY as an opportunity for artists to process and share their experiences, communicate through their art form and give back with their time and talents.  

We want to entertain Christchurch locals with a great night of inspired and relevant contemporary art in a relaxing and warm atmosphere. Our aim is to support the recovery of local Christchurch artists, encourage further professional development and multi-disciplinary performance opportunities and strengthen our local professional arts community.

Artists interested in creating and presenting an original piece of live theatre, dance, music or visual art in response to the events in Christchurch are invited to email your interest and ideas for RECOVERY to juliamckerrow@gmail.com by Friday April 15th.
