Reporting to the Venue and Operations Manager (and working closely with Q’s programming staff), you will be responsible for providing amazing customer service to Q and its hirers for all production/technical services. You will need to set up the systems and processes to ensure this happens; which includes the training of the casual production team who will be under your supervision.

Because Q is a brand spanking new space, you will have the rare responsibility of managing the fit-out and purchase of all technical equipment for Q (in conjunction with the Q Project Manager). You will also be responsible for the ongoing maintenance (and replacement) of that equipment.

As a new venue we’re probably gonna have some teething problems, so you need to be unflappable, work well under pressure and immovable deadlines, and be able to find ways of just making things work. 

Ideally, you will have a relevant qualification to Diploma level (e.g. Event Management, Audio Engineering) or equivalent industry experience of 3-5 years experience in a similar role. You should also have some knowledge or experience in financials, as you will be tracking and costing against set budgets.

This is a permanent full time role, but it’s no 9-5. You will need to be flexible (and reliable) because evening and weekend work will be required.
