CENTREPOINT THEATRE: ARTISTIC DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT

Martin Carr, Chairperson of the Palmerston North Theatre Trust, is delighted to announce the appointment of Jeff Kingsford-Brown as the new Artistic Director for Centrepoint Theatre.

“The calibre of candidates for the Artistic Director position was outstanding but Jeff’s vision for the future of Centrepoint was strongly aligned to that which we as a Board are planning towards” said Mr Carr.  “Jeff has a long association with Centrepoint Theatre, and Palmerston North, with more than thirty years experience as an actor, singer and director both inNew Zealandand overseas”.

Jeff Kingsford-Brown was last seen on the Centrepoint stage in 2010’s macabre musical Dead Tragic, and in the same year also directed the very popular Roger Hall play Four Flat Whites in Italy

“I believe a theatre must reflect the aspirations and needs of the community it serves” said Mr Kingsford-Brown, “and I am looking forward to adding my experience, artistic vision and commitment to carrying on the strong development strategies adopted by my predecessor Kate-Louise Elliott”.

Mr Kingsford-Brown will take up his duties from Monday 19 March.
