WANT TO WORK AT BATS?

We are looking for a new FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER.

This position is (almost) full-time, full-on and requires a passion for theatre coupled with excellent customer service and cash handling skills. The FOH Manager is the face of BATS, essentially the gaffer tape that holds the place together! They run the box office and work closely with the BATS’ Managers on marketing and audience development initiatives.

Hours are flexible, including both day and evening shifts with sole charge responsibilities (approximately 35 hours per week). Shifts are generally 2pm-10pm Tues-Sat, with daytime office hours on a Monday. The evening shifts are shared between the FOH Manager and the FOH Assistants that are already employed by BATS. While evening shifts are flexible, we would expect the FOH Manager to work 3 nights out of 5.

If you are interested in the position please send through a CV and cover letter to martyn@bats.co.nz by FRIDAY 1st JUNE.

Interviews will be conducted the following week, and we hope the successful application can begin at BATS in the week starting June 18. Please also contact us if you would like Job Description.

Established in 1989 BATS is the leading developmental theatre for new New Zealand work in the country. We present around 60 shows per year, with the majority of these being New Zealand premieres. We are a major venue for the Fringe and Comedy Festivals and also present the annual Young and Hungry Festival of New Theatre.
