FUNDING INVITATION – Hamilton Performing Arts Contestable Fund

Hamilton City Council is currently seeking applications to the annual Performing Arts Contestable Fund.  

Applications for this fund close on the 31st August 2012, 4pm.

The fund supports projects that contribute to the development of sustainable performing arts programmes, audience development and projects that develop skills of organisations or practitioners in Hamilton.

Projects that are designed to be ongoing and become self-supporting, have clear auditing components and that connect with and develop Maori and culturally diverse arts audiences should apply to the fund.

Factors for consideration include an applicant’s history of attracting sufficient audience numbers to their performances, track record of success, peer/ expert recognition and an applicant’s specialised training or practical experience.

Eligible performing arts projects in Hamilton include live performance of theatre, music and dance. The fund is open to performing arts practitioners, groups and arts organisations that have a proven ability to produce successful performing arts projects in Hamilton. New organisations will not be excluded.
