THE PRIME MINISTER’S AWARDS FOR LITERATURE 

These awards recognise notable literary achievement and are offered to writers who have made a significant contribution to New Zealand literature. Individuals and organisations are invited to nominate writers for these awards. 

• The amount/offer for this funding opportunity is $60,000 in each category
• The next round closes: 2 May. 2014

Administered by Creative New Zealand the awards are made in three categories:

• Poetry
• Fiction (from any genre, includes plays and scriptwriting)
• Non-fiction.
