MATARIKI FESTIVAL AT BASEMENT THEATRE 

Kei te haere a Matariki! Matariki is coming!  

And with it comes not only the rise of a star cluster in the constellation of Taurus, but also Basement Theatre’s Matariki Festival.  

The Festival runs from 21 June – 8 July 2016  

We’re looking for works which embrace the qualities of Matariki – kotahitanga, manaakitanga, entertainment, and the sharing of matauranga, kai, and rituals. These can be performed in either our Theatre or our Studio, one off events to take place in any of our spaces including the bar, visual art installations, and more.
