Four new productions.
A brand new location.
Ground-breaking new theatre design.

Pop-up Globe, the world’s first temporary working replica of Shakespeare’s theatre, the second Globe, popped up for the first time in Auckland in February 2016 with a twice-extended debut season that sold over 100,000 tickets including 20,000 to school students.

Pop-up Globe returns to Auckland this summer with four new productions of Shakespeare’s masterworks by Pop-up Globe’s critically acclaimed company, staged in a new and improved theatre, set in the beautiful gardens at Ellerslie Racecourse.

The season will feature two casts presenting four new productions: Shakespeare’s uproarious comedy Much Ado About Nothing, bloody war story Henry V, psychological thriller Othello, and legendary pastoral comedy As You Like It.

The 2017 season will run from February 23 to May 14 and tickets are onsale now. [More]
