WELLINGTON SUMMER SHAKESPEARE AUDITIONS

Performers are invited to audition for roles in the Wellington Summer Shakespeare production of Hamlet to be staged in the Botanical Gardens in February 2019.

Please note: This audition process is for general auditions – i.e. all other characters in the play – the role of Hamlet has already been cast. Hamlet is being played by Stevie Hancox-Monk with a mixed gender cast.

This will be a contemporary, ensemble-based production directed by David O’Donnell, award-winning director, author, lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington and the first person to direct a Summer Shakespeare in the Botanical Gardens in 1990.

Hamlet has never before been performed by Wellington Summer Shakespeare, now in its 36th year. Summer Shakespeare is an excellent opportunity to build your performance skills and to spend summer with a tight-knit ensemble for a spectacular outdoor production.

The opportunity is unpaid.
