Creative Capital

Wellington City Council’s Creative Capital business unit is responsible for the delivery of the Council’s vision for the arts and event sector, Aho Tini 2030, the new Arts and Culture Strategy.

This strategy sees the reshaping and expansion of activity alongside the existing delivery of a programme of events, public activities, and initiatives. This will shortly include the management of the Hannah Playhouse as a home for development of professional performing arts in the city.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to provide a range of opportunities for the Wellington performing arts sector to access the Hannah Playhouse facility as a home for development of new works, practice and artists so they can be developed and or presented.

This role is for an initial fixed term 3-year contract and the Creative Capital team are excited about the opportunity this will bring to the right candidate. You’ll have an in-depth understanding of the Arts sector in Pōneke whilst having the ability to manage the budget. We’re looking for someone who fosters robust and trusted relationships in the Community to create a great space for development.
