Born in Dunedin, Greer studied on Scholarship at “The National School of Ballet” where she uniquely graduated both as a dancer and teacher. Her career flourished as a dancer with the “Royal NZ Ballet” and as a teacher, working alongside Joan Irvine and later on Russell Kerr at “Southern Ballet and Dance Theatre” as Senior School Tutor and Ballet Mistress to the fulltime company. Greer produced many nationally and internationally acclaimed dancers before founding her own studios DanceWorld based in Christchurch.

 
On a daily basis Greer taught dancers, athletes, singers and actors having devised and created Body Mechanics a specialized strength and flexibility training for elite athletes, dance courses for N.A.S.D.A and Canterbury Opera Youth, along with choreographing over a dozen operas. With her Events organization, Greer choreographed and directed an enormous variety and styles of works, often with high profiles such as the Netball World Cup Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the Youth Variety Concert for Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth the 2nd.
 
For over a dozen years, Greer reviewed for The Press and contributed feature articles for magazines.
 
Following extensive global travel working and teaching for a luxury Cruise Company and with her arrival in Wellington, Greer continues to enjoy working as a Director/ Tutor for RAISE and Body Mechanics, is a Dance Reviewer, Freelance Tutor and Adjudicator.
