Kathryn van Beek completed a writing degree at UNITEC’s School of Performing and Screen Arts and a Master’s degree at Victoria University’s Institute of Modern Letters.

Kathryn is an award-winning playwright who has had several plays professionally produced. Her play Indiscretions was published by Playmarket.

Kathryn’s short stories have appeared in Headland, Hue and Cry, Pot Roast and Aerodrome, and she won the 2015 Headland Prize for her story Frangipani.
