The 360 Allstars show is truly an experience.
The crowd is filled with people from all walks of life, not just your common theatre goers I have become accustomed to seeing at the Civic, and despite our differences, we all leave the theatre with a common sense of satisfaction that what we just witnessed was a showcase of pure skill, showmanship and A-Grade entertainment.
The 360 Allstars is a modern day circus showcasing the rare and extraordinary talents of seven super-hero-esk performers from around the world.
Each performer has their own bracket to showcase their unique set of skills. Each solo is about 5 minutes long and is accompanied by a great arrangement of live-looped music and stunning custom AV effects. My personal highlights would include the hilarious Basketball Man, the spellbinding performance from the roue cyr wheel artist and the kiwi flavour brought to the stage by New Zealand’s very own Bboy Leerok.
Though I leave the theatre in awe of the skill of these performers I also leave with a huge smile on my face from the humorous banter, witty punch lines, and engaging segments of crowd interaction that rounds this show up as a great all round experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Upon reflection, I wish there were more ensemble moments as the cast work really well with each other and the sense of play they create on stage is so infectious that I am left wanting more. But what we are presented with is truly a great show that is guaranteed to entertain all ages.
