Production Details



A rare opportunity for Wellington audiences to see the work of international dance/performance artists Juliet Shelley, Melissa Billington, Jonathan Sinatra and Mariano Tsiari presented in an intimate studio setting. 

Jonathan has worked with Russell Dumas (Dance Exchange) since 2001, as principal dancer, performing nationally and internationally.  Jonathan has receive grants from the Dance Fund of the Australia Council for the Arts for: emerging choreography (2001), skills development (2006), and Arts Start (2013), as well as a travel grant from NSW Ministry of the Arts (2004). Jonathan has had several residencies to create solo works resulting in Testing 1-2-3, Languid yet, Sometimes I fear touch, Passing By, and Burning In Jonathan danced with French choreographer Xavier Leroy in 13 rooms (Sydney 2012) and Eleonore Didier (2014) as part of the Melbourne International Arts Festival.

Jonathan is a casual academic at Deakin University’s dance program, and an Artlife facilitator at Footscray Community Arts Centre since 2011. He teaches Contact-Improvisation nationally and has been an important contributor to the Australian CI community for 20 years.
