NZ Fringe Festival 2016 [reviewing supported by WCC]

Production Details

Cities presents Poneke as we all know it, in shards and abstract form. Inspired by Calvino’s Invisible Cities. Wellington’s multi-layered stories and structure is captivated in miniature cardboard cities and weaved together tales that express the feeling of Wellington, which is suitable for children and adults alike.

Theatre group Tea Leaf Soldiers was created in 2014 to make Necropolis for the Fringe Festival. New plays written and produced by Lana Burns. These plays tend to focus around roles for women, or members of the LBGT+ community. The newest play being produced focuses on the NZ gothic genre and attempts to promote Aotearoa in a culture steeped in American ideas.
