A contemporary dance production that journeys through India, exploring the variety of dances from folklore to exuberant Kathak, Bharathanatyam, the rarely seen Odissi and the exciting Bollywood dance. A total entertainer for the whole family. Monisha Kumar and Veshnu Narayanasamy bring to the audience a kaleidoscopic journey from classical sacred dances from the temples, folkdance, dances of the era of Mughal rule in India, the black and white cinematic beginnings of Bollywood cinema, the colour, love, lust and drama of yesteryears divas and villains to the upbeat rythms and exciting sounds of today’s Bollywood dance. A melting pot with every shade of colour guaranteed to be a fun, flirtatious, uplifting, rythmical and effervescent production for the whole family.

Colours of India includes a special performance by the Glenfield College Bollywood dance group!
