My friend Joe took his own life. It’s the kind of loss that moves in and takes permanent residence in your heart. This show isn’t about him; it’s about everything that came after. Death. Disco. Heartbeat is an exploration of loss, resilience and the need to lean into joy. It’s a kind of unwinding. A reflection of personal loss, revolution and finding your own kind of redemption. It is a eulogy, a love letter, a celebration.
