The first song – ‘Taal’ combines Bollywood and Bharata Natyam to produce a semi classical dance – this is commonly used in older generation film songs. The second song- ‘Jiya Jale’ combines Bellydance and Bollywood to produce ‘Bellywood’ – there are also some Bharata Natyam steps in this dance. This fusion form is a relatively new concept in New Zealand but gaining huge interest in India.
