My Inner Orc

Pleasance Theatre, Islington, London

13/10/2010 - 24/10/2010

Production Details

Following sell-out seasons of Skin Tight at Pleasance and Riverside Studios, Shaky Isles Theatre are presenting the world premiere of Allen O’Leary’s new play My Inner Orc.

Model-turned-actor Karl arrives in Croydon for the biggest Lord of the Rings Convention with nothing but dreams of making it big and the belief that ‘she’ll be right’.

Trapped in his hotel room and facing seduction, extortion and blackmail by two over-zealous …

My Inner Orc takes an affectionately satirical look at kiwi ambition on the world stage and the personal compromises on the road to easy money, asking where is ‘the shire’ today? Where does the magic live now? In this green and pleasant land, this England? Or those shaky isles of Aotearoa? Let battle commence!
