The Clearing National Tour

Emerging from the creative brilliance of choreographer Ross McCormack, The Clearing is Footnote New Zealand Dance’s long-awaited full-length work touring Aotearoa this year. Taking inspiration from the impact of carved out spaces, both natural and designed, The Clearing is set within an otherworldly terrain where a faint echo of reality exists. Alluring and perplexing, The Clearing reverberates with a mysterious energy that stirs its occupants to test themselves against the environment and against each other.

A national tour begins down South in July, premiering in Ashburton before heading to Queenstown, Invercargill, Oamaru and Christchurch with a second set of tour dates being announced very soon! The North Island tour will be held in October and November.

Parental guidance recommended for children under 13 years old.

Warning: this performance contains smoke, haze and references to hunting.
