Production Details

His future rests in your hands

David Hansen finds himself in a horrific situation. His mother lies dead in her bedroom, and the police are taking him away for the murder, and he has no memory of what happened.

Now it is up to his lawyer Brent Shaw to convince you of his innocence, while rival lawyer Lucas Henry paints him to be the murderer. And they’ll do whatever it takes to get their verdict.

Ultimately the final decision rests with you, the audience as jury, to decide whether David Hansen is guilty, or innocent.

The Fence is an absurd drama that focuses on challenging the audience with two endings that change depending on the audience’s choice at the end.

Writer Richard Dasan explains it as a “way for people to think more about just the case, but show how lawyers and their own peers can influence their decisions.”

This is the first time The Fence has been performed, being performed by Whitireia Students and Graduates. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to see something you can influence.

This piece of work is rated Mature and is not suitable for people under 15 years of age.
