American Expat comedian Neil Thornton cracks wise about his futile quest for self-improvement. Can he get rich, lose weight, cure his addictions, and learn to love himself in time for the show? Find out for yourself. 

Neil Thornton has made a big impact on the New Zealand comedy circuit since arriving here from New York. In the United States, Neil was a regular in New York City comedy clubs, and performed in Washington D.C., Provincetown, Fire Island, and the Poconos. 

Since arriving in New Zealand, he has toured up and down the country, entertaining audiences with his battles of understanding Kiwi culture and finding his own identity. He’s a regular at VK’s Comedy club and The Classic in Auckland, and appeared in the TV3 comedy special After Hours. His fringe festival show, Ursus Americanus was nominated for the Best Stand-Up Comedy award, and his NZ International Comedy Festival show, Bearly Kiwi, was nominated for Best Newcomer. 

A confident performer who commands a room, Neil will take the audience by the scruff of the neck and lead them on a journey into the his world.
