Albert Belz’ acclaimed work ‘Yours Truly’ is at once a love story, and a horrific retelling of the serial killer who brought London to its knees.
DIRECTED BY Holly Shanahan (Second Hand Wedding, Outrageous Fortune, Underbelly, and the original Mary Kelly from the 2006 award-winning premiere season of Yours Truly). Holly brings this work to life with a new theatre company West Coast Theatre, dedicated to professional theatre in Taranaki.
Yours Truly is a gothic love story of betrayal, power and of man’s desire for immortality. When a Prince of London falls in love, the gates of hell are swung open and the Devil stalks the streets of Whitechapel, killing and viciously mutilating women.
Only an artist, Walter Sickert, can stop the Ripper, but he must sacrifice all he thought he knew in order to outsmart the Beast… Love. Lust. Power. Murder. Yours Truly is a thriller in all senses of the word.
Karlos Drinkwater (Shortland Street, Spartacus) leads a stellar local cast as Walter Sickert, the acclaimed artist.

It’s bold and it’s brave. West Coast Theatre company is new in town.
Judging by its premiere performance on Thursday night at 4th Wall Theatre it looks set to push boundaries while presenting Taranaki audiences with genres seldom seen in local amateur productions.
Director Holly Shanahan is obviously not afraid to tackle the hard stuff.
The show Yours Truly, which she chose for the opening of the newly formed company, is full of challenges that many a director would have run in fright from long before the curtain went up. [More]
