Jenny Gleeson trained as an orthoptist. And what does that have to do with reviewing theatre? Absolutely nothing. But she also wrote for the occasional New Zealand and Australian magazine, paper and newsletter when the muse descended, and is currently involved, as all people should be ihho, in a local musical theatre company (specifically, the East Otago Musical Theatre Society). Having an English degree helps her string her sentences together, on the good days. Otherwise, she is simply an enthusiast for theatre, and just loves good acting and good plays.
